Matías Rossi se quedó con lo mejor antes de clasificar e incluso mejoró el récord del autódromo El Zonda-Eduardo Copello de San Juan. El "Misil" fue más rápido con su Toyota Corolla y se impuso en la general de entrenamientos del TC 2000 para adelantar que será protagonista de la cuarta fecha.
Rossi registró 1m12s995 en su vuelta más rápida y mejoró así el récord que tiene Pechito en el trazado sanjuanino de 1m13s371.
